1732 Black Peppercorn Salami

Quick Overview:

1732's new line of sliced salami is one of our favorites, and we’re honored to adorn them with our 80th anniversary seal. Ready to eat, we recommend pairing with Carrot & Fruit Conserve and Clothbound Cheddar.

Quick Facts

Origin: Pennsylvania, United States
Animal Type: Pig
Size: 3 oz.

The Flavor Experience

Traditional, rustic and full-on porky. Spiced only with a bit of black pepper so as to let the natural flavors of Berkshire pork shine through.

The Story

Here at Di Bruno Bros., we're passionate about supporting local. We're also passionate about bacon. So when Ari Miller approached us in 2013 with his locally produced bacon, we became fast friends. Ari has an interesting story. He was two credits short of a law degree when, inspired by a taste of lamb prosciutto, he dropped out and started making craft meats. Knowing that lamb prosciutto was a bit too obscure a product to build a company upon, he starting building his brand around bacon.  That brand, 1732 Meats, was named after the year his family home was built, and it reflects the rich and revolutionary history of the Philadelphia area. And Philadelphia loves a local success story. Within a few years, Ari's four bacons (Black Pepper, Garlic Insanity, Jalapeno, and Paprika) were on menus around the city.

In support of our 80th anniversary, Ari adapted three of these flavors into old-world style salami, and we're excited to share that collaboration with you now!

Usage Tips

Thinly pre-sliced for your convenience, these are ready to serve. Layer on a cheese or charcuterie board, enjoy as an office snack, or pair with Gruyere on a chewy ficelle loaf for a European-style sandwich.
