Alp Blossom

Quick Overview:

Stunning alpine cheese coated in marigold and rose petals.

Quick Facts

Origin: Austria
Milk Type/Treatment: Pasteurized Cow

The Flavor Experience

Cheesemakers at Senneri Huban created a masterful wedge of alpine cheese you can pair with chocolate or charcuterie. Toothsome with bold umami flavor and subtle nuttiness each bite is more irresistible than the next. A coating of fresh flora of marigold, rose petals, lavender, and chervil make it just as stunning as it is delicious.

The Story

Made by Sennerei Huban, the first cheese school in Austria, Alp Blossom celebrates the Alpine flora of the "Hay Belt" area. After six months, the wheels are transported to a safe at Kaeskuche in Bavaria, where the rind is covered in the same flowers and herbs from the surrounding Alpine meadows that cows who produce the milk graze on.

Usage Tips

Enjoy by the slice with a glass of Reisling and a wedge of dark chocolate.

This is my all-time favorite cheese and I am so happy that I can consistently get it from DiBruno. Everyone I send it to loves it. The nuttiness of the cheese contrasts nicely with the floral/herbal outer covering!

This cheese is amazing. I thought the flowers would be weird, but they made it better.

Not comparable to any other type of cheese. The herb/flower crust compliments this totally delectable cheese. The taste is outstanding!

The cheese was excellent but the flowers REALLY made it exceptional. I ordered it first for Thanksgiving; this latest is my Christmas order.

Really keen, this- funky and flowery. Hard to describe the taste but, safe to say, this is a phenomenal cheese and everyone should try it.

Exquisite aromas from wild flowers that fusion with the cheese. Similar texture as the swiss cheese but rich in flavor. I recommend to eat with Hefeweizen Bread, perfect match!
