Cottonbell

An elusive winter brie. Smoothy & creamy.

Quick Overview:

A fresh-faced brie style produced only in the wintertime!

Quick Facts

Country of Origin: California, United States
Milk Type/Treatment: Pasteurized Cow
Rennet Type: Animal

The Flavor Experience

Smooth, clean, creamy and buttery, this divine winter treat is one that you need to enjoy when it makes its brief appearance every year. Named for the bells the cows wear around their necks, as this is the elusive all-cows-milk winter cheese that the Creamery puts out every year. (Most of their cheeses contain goat's milk; this does not.)

The Story

Boxcarr makes Italian-inspired cheeses down in Cedar Grove, North Carolina. These soft-ripened beauties are beloved within the cheese community. Try for yourself!

Usage Tips

A wintery brie should receive an equally wintery treatment - bake this in a not-too-hot oven with your favorite adornments on top, ranging from honey to figs to nuts. Add some crackers for dipping and spreading, and a toasty bottle of red wine or a dark beer for some real extra warmth.

Please note, ground shipping may be unavailable to select destinations due to the perishability of this delicacy.
