Marabissi Panforte Margherita

Sweet, spiced and all things nice.

Quick Overview:

A uniquely Tuscan treat that celebrates the season.

Quick Facts

Origin: Italy
Unit Size: 250g

The Flavor Experience

The gooey goodness that is panforte has a rich history in Italy. According to tradition, 17 ingredients go into this sweet, spiced pane for it to be authentic--and Marabissi does just that. Candied oranges, citrus peels, almonds, hazelnuts, and a mix of spices are marinated in warm honey and baked till perfection is reached--the dusting of sugar doesn't hurt either.

The Story

Marabissi is one of Italy’s most famous bakeries and home to Siena’s most prized exports, panforte. Marabissi’s all-natural ingredients and dedication to traditional cooking are what set their panforte above the rest. Made in the region since medieval times, there’s nothing more authentically Tuscan than a sweet cake from Marabissi.

Usage Tips

Panforte is best served sliced and warmed with a cup of espresso, or after dinner with a glass of port. Pair with a softer Morbier and slightly more firm Pecorino Locatelli for a festive spin on your cheese plate.
