Produced by a small cooperative founded by a group of students outside of Florence in the 1970's. When they first came together, their goal was to earn a sustainable living will giving back whatever they could to the community. Over time, they came to recognize this dream through the production of cheese, and continue to do so to this day. In 2009, they won gold for best in category at the World Cheese Awards.
A staple of the antipasto plate, Pecorino Toscano feels most at home next to Cerignola olives, roasted peppers and Maestri prosciutto or salami. Don't forget DB Truffle Honey or Blood Orange Grappa jam.
