Slightly pungent from a gentle rind washing, Quadrello exhibits creamy, milky flavors up front with a tangy, barnyardy finish.  

The Story

Buffalo were first introduced to northern Italy in the 14th century, and they've be using the milk for cheese there since that time.  Quattro Portoni has enhanced this tradition by producing a variety of classic Italian cheeses - including Reggiano, Gorgonzola and Robiola - with buffalo milk.  Quadrello is a buffalo milk version of Taleggio, Italy's most famous washed-rind cheese.  

Usage Tips

This cheese belongs on your next cheese board.  Pair it with Blood Orange Grappa jam or Tishbi's Onion Cabernet offering.  Resplendent with Di Bruno Bros. Truffle Honey.  If you're feeling fancy, make a panini with Maestri Salami, or spice it up with 'nduja from Nduja Artisans.
