- Why did we decide to bring in the Compartes line? – I had seen the line in a magazine and immediately fell in love with the packaging. When they told me they had won Bon Appetit’s Perfect Taste award and had tasted the samples ourselves, it was a no brainer.
- How we heard about Compartes – see above
- What flavors we are carrying and how do we decide on those? – Luckily the line has such innovative and unique flavors, so worrying about overlap with existing varieties was not an issue at all. We selected the most intriguing options as well as options we knew had ingredients similar to our most popular bars.
- What are the must-try flavors from our perspective? – In the bars, I’d say the Botswana (Mango + Grains of Paradise) and Electric Life (Peanuts + Honey + Sea Salt). The Truffles are delicious too, they do some fun holiday/seasonal flavors you can’t find anywhere else.
- And anything else you think the internet might be interested in knowing about us carrying this product (how we eat it, when we eat it, what we eat it with, what we make from it, what our family and friends say about it, etc.). We should definitely talk about the cheese pairings with the bars, loved that. I also always love that Jonathan is truly the sole creator of this line…he develops the flavors, makes the chocolate, designs the awesome packaging…he is a jack of all trades.
