With the help of Chef Lenny that question was answered in the first annual 'Who Has the Best Meatballs' challenge that pitted numerous South Philly institutions against each other. The top 5 winners are invited to compete against the top South Jersey participants for the 'Golden Meatball Challenge Cup' on May 27th.

And where did your beloved Di Bruno Bros. rank? Let's just say Di Bruno is going to be one of the South Philly representatives on May 27. Taking 4th place in both Meatballs without Sauce and Meatballs with Sauce categories, Di Bruno Bros. just may have better meatballs than your grandmother.
