Calderwood took 2nd, and is another Jasper Hill Farms creation, in collaboration with Anne Saxelby.
It is, in fact, the Alpha Tolman you know and love, with toasted grass from the farm pressed to the rind, resulting in an amplified terroir. Only 24 wheels were produced, so get some while you can!

Avonlea came in 3rd and is a superb version of a clothbound cheddar, robust and earthy with a sharp finish.
