The Flavor Experience
Typically, Pecorinos are a bit on the harder side— ideal for grating into a sauce or topping on pasta. Toscano Fresco changes all that in the best way possible. Aged for just the minimum number of days, each bit of this rich, aromatic cheese is a treat for all five senses. Glowing white color, soft to slice through, melts in your mouth flavor, and a rich perfumey smell, it's a bite you'll never forget.
The Story
This special cheese comes from a small farm town in Tuscany known as Contigiano. Each selection comes from farms directly in the Tuscany, Umbria, or Lazio regions of central Italy and is handcrafted with the same attention to detail as traditional cheesemakers in the region. Each wheel is molded by hand, salted ever so slightly for the first 36 hours, and aged until flavors are sweet, mild, and unmistakably unique.
Usage Tips
Add to your cheese plate alongside our Fig & Acacia Honey Jam and toasted rosemary crackers to bring out the cheese's subtle fruity notes and herbaceousness.
