Here at Di Bruno Bros. we work and live by our Core Values. Every month we pay tribute to a member of our Di Bruno family and celebrate someone who has shown off our values in an exemplary way.
Through nominations narrowed down by Senior Management, and hand-selected by our company President, we celebrate a team member each month.
Our Core Value Champion for the Month of May is Matt W.!
-
Position: Catering Sales
-
Nominated by: Danielle P.
-
Core Values Matt best exemplifies: Servant Leadership
-
Examples: "Matt best exemplifies servant leadership as well as company stewardship. He is always willing to go above and beyond with anything we need in our department and the building alike. He is the first to run an order or swing by to grab missed rentals. He led the company team in the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House Plane Pull as well as supervised the St. James Fundraiser at the cafe on his own personal time. He organized a company team to help raise money for both charities. Matt is a great representation of the company core values and has a great attitude. He is a hands-on employee who will do what it takes to make sure DB Catering and Di Bruno Bros. as a whole is represented well within the community." — Danielle P.
QUICK Q&A WITH MATT
How long have you been with Di Bruno Bros.?
I have been with the company for about three years.
What is your favorite thing about working with Di Bruno Bros.?
My favorite thing about working here is getting to listen to all the nostalgic stories when customers call in and talk about past times with their families going to our 9th Street store.
When you’re not busy making sure Di Bruno Bros. products are flying off the shelves, what do you spend your time doing?
When I am not busy working (that is very rarely), I do a lot of volunteer work with the Red Cross Disaster Team, Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House and WHYY Channel 12.
Favorite cheese/cheese pairing/Di Bruno Bros. snack you just can’t live without?
Has to be Prima Donna with our Aged Balsamic and fresh strawberries!
Best memory of your Di Bruno’s Tenure?
That would have to be working at Rittenhouse this past Christmas Eve when I helped the sweetest lady shop for her holiday meal. She told me stories about remembering her mother taking her to get cheese from us as well as all her trips to Europe!
