Les Moulins Mahjoub is a family-owned company in Tebouba—a fertile region of Tunisia with a long and ancient history of agriculture and food production. They grow certified organic olives and other produce, from which they make outstanding oils and condiments. With over 100 years of experience in agriculture, the family have chosen to focus on achieving the highest possible quality in their products—reflected in their careful harvesting methods and small-scale production.
Some of Our Favorite Products
A large grain, hand-rolled couscous with an earthy, nutty flavor. Also known as M’hamsa, this variety of Berber couscous is made by hand-rolling water, olive oil, and salt with semolina flour, then extruding the mixture through a sieve to form these larger grains. The grains are then preserved with olive oil and sundried. A perfect complement to any Mediterranean meat or vegetable stew.
A traditional North African condiment, Mahjoub harissa is made with sundried hot and sweet peppers ground into a savory paste with tomatoes, olive oil and spices. Use as a condiment or as the basis for the famous simmered egg dish of the same name.
A cooked and intensely seasoned paste of tomatoes, onions and peppers. Use as a condiment or as the basis for the famous simmered egg dish of the same name.
