3 March Cheeses We're Cheersing To
This month we're bring you 3 cheese pairings that'll make you feel like you've hit the cheese lottery. Here's to a blue you can eat like ice cream, a washed-rind that tastes like peanut butter, and a cheddar with a twist! March_cheeses

ARDRAHAN: THE PEANUT BUTTER OF CHEESE

Ardrahan is the peanut butter of cheese: creamy and smooth, a somewhat clingy mouthfeel, and of course the flavor of roasted nuts. It only makes sense to pair it with a jam, and what better option than our Fig Jam with Acacia Honey? (pictured bottom left) Beverage Pairing: Anything Trappist - Chimay Red is a sure thing.

ISLE OF MULL CHEDDAR: A CHEDDAR WITH A SHARP, YET FRUITY BITE

Hop across the other pond to Scotland for a cheddar with a twist. Isle of Mull Cheddar is sharp but also fruity, a result of the cows eating spent grain from the Tobermorry Distillery. The sweetness of the apricot helps elevate the fruit profile and balance the bite. (pictured at top) Beverage Pairing: Meant to be savored with a big, hoppy IPA - Meantime Brewery IPA is our top pick.

CASHEL BLUE: LIKE A SPOONFUL OF FUNKY ICE CREAM

Boasting a sweet cream flavor and sea salt backbone, Cashel is like a spoonful of funky ice cream. The Black Lava Cashews, coated with toffee and roasted with Black Hawaiian Sea Salt, are like the Jimmies on top. (pictured bottom right) Beverage Pairing: Stout and Blue is a classic pairing, so celebrate St. Patty’s Day with Ireland’s best blue and most renowned beverage. Sweet, roasted malts contrast perfectly against the subtly salty finish of Cashel Blue for a flavor combination that would render James Joyce at a loss for words. Cheers to filling your pot with these amazing cheeses from our cheesemongers.
