The Flavor Experience
Hand-picked in Pennsylvania from the Asian Pear tree farms of Subarashii Kudamono (which means a wonderful fruit in Japanese), each variety is artfully harvested at a specific time for peak juiciness and flavor complexity, with notes ranging from honeycomb to tequila, kiwi to maple syrup. These artisan fruits transcend your average snack for the office or school; all you need is the perfect cheese pairing to make your pear-eating experience one to remember.

The Story
In the 1970s, Joel Spira brought Asian Pear seeds back from Japan and planted them in his own Pennsylvania backyard. With the help of his botanist wife, they diversified the Asian Pear trees into American-style varieties, soon evolving into the beloved Subarashii Kudamono, encompassing countless acreage of picturesque Eastern Pennsylvania farmland.
