Philly’s Italian Market Festival is a weekend bursting with food, crafts, unique events and plenty of live entertainment. This year’s Italian Market Festival is particularly special for us, as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary.

Come party with us at the Italian Market Festival May 17th & 18th!

We're proud to be celebrating our 75th where it all began—deep in the heart of the Italian Market.

COME FOR THE FOOD

Taking a culinary journey back to the early days of Di Bruno Bros, we'll be serving up $2 bites of freshly-shaved prosciutto, handmade burrata, pepper shooters and our signature cheese spreads. Details below!

  • Prosciutto and Burrata on a Grilled Baguette
  • Parmigiano Reggiano nugget drizzled with balsamic vinegar or with a hand-stuffed olive on the side
  • Fried Pepper Shooter on a Stick (yes, you read that correctly)
  • Abbruzze Cheese Spread Cup with Di Bruno Crostini

STAY FOR THE FUN STUFF

Swing by for a bite and get a pic at our photo booth (stocked with cheesy, meaty, cheesemongery props of course)! Take home a piece of our 75th Anniversary with our special commemorative T-shirts, tote bags, and temporary tats. We’ll be celebrating South Philly cheese love all weekend long!

AND IT'S ALL FOR A GREAT CAUSE

On top of all that goodness, all proceeds from the weekend are going straight to our partner charity, St. James School. Our 75th year is not only about toasting to great times had in this city, but also about giving back to it. We're on a mission to raise $75,000 for St. James School in the Allegheny West section of Philadelphia to build a Neighborhood Kitchen for its students and area residents. Every time you purchase food, buy a T-shirt or post a picture using #75for75 on social media, you're helping us get one step closer to opening this kitchen!

WHERE AND WHEN:

Di Bruno Bros. Piazza (at the corner of 9th Street at Montrose Streets) on May 17 & 18, 2014, 10am – 5pm

Known officially as the “South 9th Street Curb Market,” the Italian Market is the nation’s oldest outdoor market. When Danny and Joe Di Bruno opened up their small grocery location at 930 South 9th Street in 1939, they were determined to build a successful business to provide for their family. They never dreamed Di Bruno Bros. would one day be so synonymous with the City of Philadelphia and Culinary Pioneering.
