The Flavor Experience

A traditional, country-style pâté, Pâté de Campagne is made with coarsely chopped pork, garlic, and just a hint of Cognac-richness. Traditional Pâté de Campagne was made with the leftover trimmings of meat, and is made with a flour panade, instead of bread, to give help the meat retain as much moisture as possible. It's best served simply, to better highlight the rustic, hearty flavors.

The Story

Pâté is the general term for any spreadable paste made from ground meat, and can include terrine, foie gras, and even liverwurst! Almost every country has their own variety and traditional preparations.

Usage Tips

The traditional, rustic flavors of Pâté de Campagne goes perfectly with the classic dijon spice of Moutarde de Meaux Pommery, all layered on a crusty baguette.
